Adeline C. Frietas

Adeline C. Frietas, 89, of Cumby and formerly of Chico, CA, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2016.

Adeline was born to Amelia Miranda and James Leo Phillips in San Jose, California, on March 21, 1926. She was married to Vernon D. Frietas, who preceded her in death. She was a retired Greeter at Wal-Mart.

Survivors include her daughter, Cathy J. Logue of Cumby, TX; her sister, Dalores Hernandez of San Jose, CA; her nephew, Joey Hernandez of San Jose, CA; her granddaughters: Kelly R. Fortado of Broken Bow, NE and Karen A. Priddy of The Colony, TX; and, her great grandchildren: Jace D. Arnwine of The Colony, TX, and River W. Priddy of The Colony, TX, and Isabelle Priddy of The Colony, TX.

Local visitation will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at 4:00 p.m. at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newton-Bracewell Chico Funeral Home, 680 Camellia Way, Chico, CA 95927 (530-342-9003).

Graveside service will be Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Northern California Veteran's Cemetery in Igo, CA.
