Andre Loraine Champion

Andre L. Champion, 54, of Ladonia passed away at her home on Sunday, March 9, 2014. She was born in New York City, NY., on October 15, 1959.

Andre attended Commerce public schools and graduated from Commerce High School in 1977. She showed an interest in sports and became an excellent tennis player during her High School years. She spent a short time living in Tyler, Tx., before moving back to Commerce, she also received a Master's degree from the University of Phoenix in 2011. Andre was a studious stay at home person who loved people and people liked her. She was a member of the Griffith Chapel CME Church where she joined as a young girl.

She was preceded in death by her father Harry Champion and by her biological father Alvin Champion, and, her sister, Carolyn Champion.

She leaves to mourn her passing her mom Anna Champion, her biological mom "Val" in New York and a host of brothers, sisters, relatives and friends.

She also leaves behind her special friends, Danielle Hill of Allen and Glenda Spearman of Commerce,

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14, 2014, at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home from 10:00 A.M until 6:00 P.M.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 1:00 P.M. at Mount Moriah Baptist Church of Commerce.

Interment will follow at Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce.

Pallbearers will be Harry Turner, Greg Jackson, Kerthy Clayton, Dominic Turner, Kenneth Savage and Nicolas Gadlin.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the "Class of 77".
