Ann Burks

Carol Ann Burks of Paris, TX, passed away at her home on Sunday, January 29, 2017.

Ann was born in Honey Grove, Texas, on March 31, 1954, to Eathel Mae Carter and Coyel Burks. She was a tax preparer. Carol "Ann" loved fishing.

Survivors include her daughter, Yolanda Burks of Mesquite; her grandson, Jamarcus Thomas; her granddaughter, Calandia Howard; and, her two brothers: Finis "Neal" Burks of Honey Grove and Coyel Burks of Paris, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Eathel Mae Burks and her sister, Mattie Web.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at St. James Baptist Church in Honey Grove, with Rev. Esther F. Lawson officiating.

Pallbearers will be Finis Burks, Herman Ausbie, Dennis Gibson, Kurt Burks, Coyle Burks lll and Ceylon Burks.

Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Honey Grove.

Interment service follows church service.
