Anna Louise Hicklen

Anna Louise Hicklen, 95, of Commerce, formerly of Tyler passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2013, in Greenville, TX.

Anna was born on December 17, 1917, in Tyler to Marshall McBride and Laura Barron McBride.

Survivors include her son Curtis Frank Hicklen, Jr. and his wife Carolyn of Marathon, TX, her daughter Cynthia K. Akin and her husband Grady, of Commerce, TX., and her daughter-in-law Carolyn Woods of Alice, TX. She is also survived by her grandsons, Matthew Brooks Hicklen, of Alpine, TX., John David Akin, of New York, N.Y., Cody Don Akin, of Commerce and her granddaughter Sherry Elizabeth Hicklen Holt, of Denver Co., 5 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild on the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Frank Hicklen Sr., her parents, her son Graham Ray Hicklen, her grandson, Carey Brent Hicklen, her brothers: Joseph McBride, Ray McBride and Don McBride, and her sister Rena Humphrey.

Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Tyler Memorial Park with Stan Roye a special family friend officiating.
