Annette Eloise Busby

Annette Eloise Busby, 72, of Commerce passed away on April 7, 2010 at Hunt Regional Memorial Hospital of Greenville.


Annette was born on March 21, 1938 to J.E. and Hazel Schupbach Harbour in Commerce. She grew up in Commerce and on October 12, 1956 married James Busby. Annette recently retired from the Chamber of Commerce as an office clerk and was Chamber of Commerce Employee of the Year. She was a Cub Scout den mother and received a District Award of Merit. She was an active member at First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.


Annette is survived by her loving husband; her children: Jeff Busby of Commerce, Jay Busby of Commerce, and Joe Busby of Dallas; her grandchildren: Amber Busby of Little Elm, Kamie Busby of Commerce, and Darren Busby; her great-grandchildren: Cassidy and Callie Busby of Little Elm, Kaley Busby of Commerce, and Paisley and Elexis Sloan of Commerce; four sisters: Cozette Foster of Gun Barrel City, Judy O'Neal of Waxahachie, Freddie Harbour of Waxahachie, Linda Chandler of Farmers Branch, and a brother, Joe Harbour of Plano.


She was preceded in death by her parents; a child, James "Buzz" Busby, Jr.; and a brother, Donald Wayne Harbour.


Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Commerce.

Interment services will follow at Rosemound Cemetery.


Pallbearers are James Kelly, Richard Frank, Trezzie Pressley, Russell Armstrong, Jack Pirkey, and Bobby Young.


Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
