Badih Juan Chagerben, 63, of Commerce died unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 5.
He was born March 31, 1946, in Guayaquil, Ecuador. He received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Animal Science and Foreign Language from East Texas State University. He received his PhD Degree of Philosophy in Education from Madison State University. Badih was a Spanish teacher at Seagoville Middle School and was assistant coach of the 2008 city soccer championship team at Seagoville Middle School.
He is survived by his wife, Giovanna Chagerben; his son, Badih Juan Chagerben; his daughter, Tamine Michelle Chagerben; his father, Juan Adib Chagerben Zajia; two brothers: Juan Chagerben and Alberto Chagerben; and one sister, Pilar Chagerben.
Badih was preceded in death by his mother, Nimia Pilar Magallanes Gurumendi.
Interment services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 8, at Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce.
Visitation will be held at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home on Friday, August 7, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
