Betty Ann Potts

Betty Ann Potts, 81, of Waskom, passed away peacefully in Commerce on Sunday morning, June 28, 2020. Betty was born on April 18, 1939 in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of William Perkins and Artie Parker Perkins. She was a retired electronics assembler for E-Systems (now L-3) in Greenville, Texas. Betty loved John Wayne, the Old Westerns, watching PBR events, her dog Lucy, and her family and friends.

She is survived by her four children: Darrell Gaston of Tyler, Tx., Gary Potts and wife Angie of Commerce, Tx., Susie Hight and husband John of Waskom, Tx., and Lisa Brewer and husband Rick of Commerce, Tx. Her legacy also includes her 15 grandchildren: Brad Lewis, Jennifer Arnold, Mitchell Gaston, Derrick Gaston, Aliesha Blakely, Kaylen Bell, Kortney Clayton, Kody Potts, Kaci Potts, Keaton Potts, Kailey Potts, Amanda Wassum, Jennifer Brewer, Laci Yonker, and Josh Brewer; 29 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Other survivors include a sister, Doris Calvert of Emory, Tx. and a brother Ronnie Perkins and wife Sherry of Duncanville, Tx.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: William Perkins Jr., and Billy Joe Perkins, a sister: Norma Cotton and a grandson: Michael Don Gaston.

The family will have a private memorial service at a date to be determined.
