Billie Margaret Cupit

Billie Margaret Matkins Cupit, 84, of Commerce graduated into Heaven on Wednesday, December 31, 2014.

Billie was born in Commerce on December 11, 1930, to Clara Mitcham Matkins and Alton Matkins. On February 19, 1949, she married Henry Cleborn Cupit. Billie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her son, Michael Paul Cupit (Michelle of Mt. Vernon; her daughters: Cathy Cummings (Kenneth) of Emory and Carolyn Bearden (Kenneth) of Commerce; her grandsons: Shon Potter (Tracy) of Rowlett and Brine Bearden (Becky of Cumby; her granddaughters: Robin Nabers (Justin) of Commerce, Wendi Humphries (Charles) of Cumby, Michaela and Mikenna Cupit of Mt. Vernon; her great grandchildren: Taylor, Landon and Hannah Nabers, Grayson Humphries, Tyler, Lizzie and Blake Bearden; and, her sister, Elizabeth Bennett of Commerce.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Funeral services for Billie will be conducted on Monday, January, 5, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home with Bro. David Burns officiating.

Visitation will be conducted one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow in Cumby Cemetery, Cumby, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Shon Potter, Kenneth Cummings, Kenneth Bearden, Brine Bearden, Charles Humphries and Justin Nabers.
