Billy Gene Morris

At age 86, Billy Gene Morris passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at home surrounded by his family in Carrollton Texas.

Billy was born in Bagota, Texas, on November 7, 1928, born the son of share croppers, Opal Irene Day Morris and Robert William Morris, moved to Dallas at age 16. Worked at Kroehler Manufacturing for 18 years before starting Morris Upholstery in 1965, where he sat on the board of directors till he passed.

Devoted family man and husband to Mary Lou for nearly 50 years. Billy enjoyed bowling, deep sea fishing and was an avid golfer for over 40 years.

He is survived by his children: Carol Jean Newby and husband Dave, Bobby Morris and wife Tina, Mark Morris and wife Holly and Rick Minick, his grandchildren: Erik, Shelly, Jessica, Mykell, Katrina, Max, Dru, Jon, Joshua, Morgan and Brittany and his great-grandchildren: Allen, Natalie, Lyric, Laurence(peewee), Gavin, Jon Mykell, Miles Reme Lynn and Ben.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou, his daughter, Tonya his parents, Opal and Robert and his brother, James Morris.

A memorial service for Billy, will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015, at 1:00 P.M. at 1121 Noble Ave. Carrollton, Texas, 75006.
