Blanche Kay Zihlman

A sweet and beautiful soul, passed away October 5, 2022 in Shiloh of Delta co, Tx. She’s gone home. Its where she wanted to be. Kay was born In Worcester, Mass. On August 22, 1929. Married to E Joe Zihlman on February 21, 1958 in Dallas, Tx. Widowed in 2013. Kay & Joe had moved to Delta co (where Joe had kinfolk) in 1976 from Dallas. Kay later retired from Ennis Texas Tag of Wolfe City. 

Kay was a member of the Commerce & later Wolfe City Eastern Star and the Rebecca’s of Cooper, Tx.  

  Kay was proceeded in death by her husband Joe; Her parents: Ralph & Hanna Surprenant of Massachusetts, and her siblings from biological parents (Wilfred Alfred & Florence Surprenant) :  

Frank, Betty, Marie, Bobby, Jackie & Wilfred; and also great granddaughter Sydney Lisa Jeter. Kay will finally get to know the mystery and see her brother Bobby who didn’t make it home from Korea. 

  Kay is survived by her children: Cheri &(Frenchie), Richard & (Tina) , Becky/ Mary , Joe &(Barb) . And by grandchildren: Shane, Michele, Denise, Melissa, her Great-Grandchildren: Aaron, Hannah, Cameron, Destiny, Sarah, Haven, Robin & Christopher; and great- great-grandchild : Willow.     

It is to be a graveside service at Shiloh Cemetary on FM 1531 , of Delta County (just off Hwy 24) on Saturday, Oct 8th, at 10 am. A rosary at Jones Walker Funeral Home to be held before the service, at 9 am Saturday by Father Marcus of St Joseph’s of Commerce, Tx.
