Clyde Edward Covington, 77, of Pecan Gap passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Commerce on July 13, 1934.
Clyde was a barber who retired after more than 50 years of service. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. On May 29, 1959, he married Peggy Yeager in Hugo, OK.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Leonard Garrett; and his sisters: Ada Gentry, Rosa Bee Matthews and Betty Jean Isbell all of Fort Worth.
Survivors include his wife Peggy Covington of Pecan Gap.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home.
Graveside services with Full Military Honors will be conducted on Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. in Pecan Gap Cemetery, Pecan Gap, TX. Rev. Carolyn Allbritton will officiate.
