Curtis Henry Speights

Curtis Henry Speights, 82, of Commerce passed away at his residence on Monday evening July 31, 2023.  Curtis was born in Seagraves, TX on December 23,1940 to Callan MB Speights and Jennie Elizabeth Wickson.  He joined the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam War.  After the navy he worked and retired for Air Liquide as a truck driver. He received multiple safe driving awards and was a member of the Million Mile Club.  He was member of the Round Rock Church of Christ.  Even though Curtis wasn't always talkative and physically expressive, he cared so much love and affection for his family.  It would overwhelm him at times and he couldn't talk from crying.

Curtis leaves a legacy of memories with his sons: Bruce Dale Speights of Commerce and Michael Curtis Speights and wife Tanya of Arkansas; daughters: Curinn Palmer and husband Toby of Newton, AL and Jaayme Arlene of Level Plains,AL; grandchildren: Toby Speights and wife Amanda of Odessa, Tabby Sanders and husband Ryan of Little Elm, Bailey Speights and wife Blaine of Aurora, CO, Tristan Speights of Wills Point, Aaron Speights of Roswell, NM, Brandon Speights of Roswell, NM, Conner Speights of Manila, AR, Mariah Speights of Manila, AR, Brittney Galvez and Kimberlee Olson.   He is also survived by his great grandchildren: Dakota Speights of Little Elm, Devon Shipper of Little Elm, Madison Speights of Rockwall, Brooklynn Speights of Rockwall, Dechlynn Speights of Manila, AR, Brinnley Speights of Aurora, CO, Aspen Speights of Odessa,  coming soon Briar Speights of Aurora, CO, Aslan and Lucy Speights of Roswell, NM and Peyton Speights of Roswell, NM.  His sisters: Barbara Duncan of Austin, Phyliss Blackwood of Lovington, NM and Debbie Sims of Carthage; brothers: Callan Speights of Denton, Doug Speights of Austin and Sammy Speights of Garland all survive him as well.

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Patricia Ann Speight, Rita Compton, Carrie Gibson and Sharlot Martin; granddaughter Presley Speights and grandson Peyton Speights.
