D'Andrae Shamar Buris, affectionately known as Drae, was born on July 15, 1998, in Paris, Texas. He departed this world on January 24, 2025, in Plano, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love, humor, and resilience.

Drae was not just a name; to many, he was a beacon of light—a caring, loving individual whose humble demeanor always managed to uplift those around him. With a personality that sparked joy, Drae had a unique ability to keep everyone entertained. His laughter and spirit were infectious, bringing warmth to every gathering. He lived life to the fullest, embodying a fighter’s spirit until the very end—a testament to his unwavering strength and determination.

Drae’s family was central to his life. He is survived by his devoted parents, his mother Raquel Buris, father Robert Finney and stepmother Kristi Finney. He cherished his brothers, Dijon, Joseph, Demontrae, Devin, and Dontrell, as well as his beloved sisters, Keyarah, Idalias, Malarie, Mariyah, and Makailee, forming bonds that will forever remain engraved in their hearts. His best friend and chosen brother, Coe Caraway, stood alongside Drae through thick and thin, sharing countless memories that will be treasured forever.

The love of family extended to Drae's special auntie, Stephanie Williams, and grandmothers, Mary Finney and Linda Buris, who have all played significant roles in his life. He leaves behind a tapestry of family that includes aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, each carrying a piece of Drae’s spirited heart with them.

As we mourn his loss, we remember those who preceded him—his dear Aunt and Uncle, Kawanna and Mickey Samonte, Aunt Olena Williams, along with grandparents and cousins—who await his arrival in the embrace of eternity.
