Danny Gene Moore

Danny Gene Moore (Papa), 70, of Cooper, passed away August 19, 2019.

Danny was born Nov. 21, 1948, in Cooper, Tx. His parents were the late Andrew Joseph (Scoot) Moore and Vernon (Smitty) Croley, both of Cooper.

He is survived by his wife Jerrie (Tomlinson) Moore, son Joseph (Joey) Moore of Cooper, daughters Dana (Moore) Allen, Jennifer (Moore) Sillivan, both of Cooper, and Kimberly (Kim) Maxey of Greenville, Tx. Siblings Brenda (Moore) Loveless of Slab Town, Vicki (Moore) Williams of Cooper, Sandy (Moore) Springfield of Cooper, and Deborah Croley of Denton, Tx. He was preceded in death by his brother Glenn Moore of Cooper.

He has 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, but, he was called Papa by all the family friends and local kids of Cooper.

He worked for the family business Moore's Plumbing with his dad and brother until his recent retirement.

He was a quiet man, but, was loved by so many. If he knew you and met you in passing, he always had something witty and personalized to say.

Thank you to everyone for all the calls, texts, food, visits, donations, thoughts and prayers. There will be no service per his wishes to only be cremated. If you knew him, you knew he didn't like a fuss made over him.
