David John Threlkeld, born on January 31, 1954, in Pittsburg, California, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2024, in Greenville, Texas. David proudly dedicated a significant portion of his life to the City of Grapevine Street Department, where he concluded his career with retirement.
David was known for his fondness for Coca-Cola and his favorite breakfast of sausage and biscuits from Braum's, which brought him simple pleasures each day. He cherished his lottery tickets, often hoping for that next big win, and enjoyed spending time at both the VFW and American Legion, where camaraderie and shared experiences filled the air. His love for old movies provided countless hours of entertainment, enriching his life with stories from the past.
David is survived by his beloved family, including his daughter Christy Lynn Garrison and husband Freddie Garrison, grandsons Michael Lunsford, Caleb Lunsford, Jacob Bullock, and granddaughter Alexis Bullock. He also leaves behind his great-grandson Hudson Etchieson and great-granddaughter Stacy Lunsford, who is due in June 2025.
He was predeceased by his wife Rosanne "Lucy" Threlkeld, father Dennis John Threlkeld, and mother Cordella Ruth Brummet. In remembering David, his family reflects on a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 4,2024, at Super Star Cuts located at 107 N. Kaufman St. in Seagoville, TX with Billy W. Chasteen officiating.
