Donald Ray Adams was born on February 2, 1943, in Ladonia. He was the second of nine children born to Eddie Adams and Chemiel McFarland Adams.

He attended and graduated from Clark High School in Ladonia.

He proudly served in the United States Navy for six years.

Donald married Earnestine Woods in 1968; and, to this union, two children were born.

Departing on January 15, 2014, he left to cherish his memory his parents: Eddie and Clemiel Adams of Ladonia; his children: Keith Adams (Tracey) and Tyrone Adams (Stacey) both of Denver Colorado, Victor Farmer of Virginia, Sonya Regis of Denver Colorado,Tyson Adams of Portland Oregon; five brothers: Michael Adams (Thelma) of Aurora CO, Gerald Adams (Helen) of Ladonia, Eddie Adams (Theresa) of Aurora, Colorado; Charles Adams of Ladonia, Robert Adams of Ladonia; three sisters: Ruby Yuen ( KaiChek) of Severn, Maryland; Sandra Massey (Michael) of Paris, Texas, and, Debra Adams of Severn, Maryland.

Don has five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; aunt Inez Simons of Wichita Falls;. one uncle, George Robert Adams of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; several nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, January 23, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home chapel.

Burial with Military Honors will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Ladonia.
