Donna Kay Joslin

Donna Joslin of the Tira Community in Hopkins County passed away at her residence on May 3, 2018.

Donna was born February 20, 1952, in Trinidad, Texas, the daughter of James Elgen White and Cordi Joyce Clay White.

She married Stanley Frank Joslin on April 17, 1985, in Enloe, Texas. He preceded her in death on January 7, 2016, after nearly 31 years of marriage.

One of her favorite past times was fishing and she would fish as often as she could.

Donna is survived by her daughter Nickie Robertson of Tira, a stepson, Greg Joslin, and a step daughter Tammy Williams, a granddaughter Heather Brown of Sulphur Springs and a grandson Dakota Robertson of Sulphur Springs. She is also survived by four great grandsons: Aiden Brown, Brayden Brown, Chandlyn Brown and Brantley Robertson and one great granddaughter: Starr Robertson. Survivors also include sisters: Paula Jones, and Sharon Akerhielm of Sulphur Springs, and brothers: Jimmy White, Larry White, and Bob White all of Sulphur Springs.

Mrs. Joslin was preceded in death by her parents, Joyce and James White, her husband Frank Joslin, and a brother Ronny White.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the Tira Cemetery on CR 4615 in the Tira community of Hopkins County. Visitation will occur one hour prior to the service at Tira Methodist Church. Tami Joslin will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Mark Davenport, Weldon White, Joe Vicars, Phillip Reed, Bobby Brown, and Jason Robertson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert White, Ryan Reed, Rustin Reed, Matthew Howard, Chris White, Andrew Akerhielm, and Josh Roberson.

Arrangements are under the care of Jones-Walker and Son Funeral Home and Crematory Service of Commerce, Texas.
