Dr. Kenneth D. Morgan 76, passed away from this life Sunday, April 26, 2009 at Greenfield Residential Care Home in McKinney, Texas where he had been lovingly cared for by Epiphania Dube and Petronella GiGi.He was born in Seminole, OK March 3, 1933 to Luther and Juanita Hearn Morgan. He graduated from Bowlegs High School in Bowlegs, OK and attended Baylor University in Waco, TX on a basketball scholarship; receiving his Bachelors and Masters degrees. He served 3 years in the United States Air Force as a Captain and pilot. He continued his education at Southern Mississippi State University in Hattisburg, Miss. earning his Doctorate degree.

He taught at Howard Payne University in Brownsville, TX, Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Tx, and was a Professor of Health, Kinesiology & Sports Studies at Texas A&M University Commerce for 31 yrs, before retiring in 2001. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Allen, Tx. and an active member of the Commerce Lions Club.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Morgan; brother Bob Morgan; father Luther Morgan and sister-in-law, Charlotte Morgan.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Morgan of McKinney, Texas;daughter, Steffani Morgan of Plano, Tx, Stepson, Jace Horton and wife Melanie Horton of Frisco; two grandchildren, Tate Horton and Nash Horton of Frisco; four nieces and numerous other relatives.Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday April 29 in Fry-Gibbs Funeral Chapel in Paris, Texas with Charles Ray Hamilton and Don Morton officiating. Interment will be in Meadowbrook Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jace Horton, Fred Blohm, Gene Castlebury, Jim Stahl, Paul Peak, Matthew McLemore and Darin Oltrogge. Honorary pallbearer will be Jesse Hawthorne. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
