Eddie Royce Judkins

Eddie Royce Judkins, "Gap Goody" 53, passed away in a car accident on Monday, July 18, 2016.

Mr. Eddie Royce Judkins was born on May 24, 1963, to Hurshel Judkins, Sr. and Estella Houston Judkins in Bryan Mills, Texas. Eddie received a formal education from Fannidel Independent School District in Ladonia, Texas, graduating in 1981.

Eddie was employed as an agricultural laborer with Pickard Farms for the past 9 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed being with his family and friends; his hobbies included fishing, horseback riding, and being of service to others whenever he was needed.

Eddie Judkins was everyone's sunshine. He made every dull moment bright with his presence as you could never find him without a smile, even when he wasn't feeling well, you wouldn't be able to tell. He was definitely a community helper for the towns of Ladonia and Pecan Gap, making friends everywhere he went.

On July 18, 2016, he departed his earthly home. He is leaving behind to cherish his memory one daughter, Taneka Judkins and twin granddaughters A'Niyah and Za'Niyah Shaw, all of Whitesboro, Texas, three sisters, Connie Wilburn (Cal T Lewis), Charlene Crosby (Billy Crosby), and Fannie Harris (Michael Harris), all of Ladonia; four brothers, Willie Judkins (Carolyn Judkins), Perry Judkins, both of Ladonia, Billy Judkins of Pecan Gap, and Hurshel Judkins, Jr. (Annette Judkins) of Guymon, Oklahoma; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Eddie had a very special friend in his life that kept him on his toes, Jennifer "Big Baby" Wilburn, of Ladonia, Texas.

Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Hurshel Judkins, Sr. and his mother, Estella Houston Judkins.

Services for Eddie will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2016, at 3:30 p.m. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 1001 FM 2990, Ladonia, Texas, with Rev. Cecil Jones officiating and Rev. Curtis Pruitt as eulogist.
