Edward Lee "Ed" Hall, 72, of Commerce, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2011, in Greenville.
Ed was born in Dike on February 7, 1939, to Lula Mae Romans Hall and Elmer Lee Hall. He married Alice Anderson on January 10, 1959, in Oklahoma. Ed had worked in construction and as a dairy farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his infant child; his brother, Martin Hall; and, his four sisters: Wanda Follis, Laura Catherine Hall, Pauline Alvis, and Magdaline Lindsey.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Hall, of Cumby; his son, Martin Lee Davis (Leslie) of Sulphur Springs; his daughters: Cindy Hall Foster (Gene) of Klondike, Kathy Hall Carter (Johnny) of Cumby, Debbie Hall Howard (Monty) of Campbell, Carla Hall Vaughan (Rickey) of Cumby, and, Hollie McDonald of Sulphur Springs ; his brother, James Hall of Commerce; and, three sisters: Rose Ann Dykman of California, Ruthie Boyer of North Carolina,and Margaret Turner of Cumby. Ed is also survived by his 6 grandsons, 5 granddaughters, 9 great-grandsons 3 great-granddaughters; numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2011, at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 22, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Miller officiating.
Interment will follow at Cumby City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Henegar, Toney Hurley, Monty Tipps, Rusty Stillwagoner, Danny Mitchell, and Jace Anglin. Ed's grandchildren will be Honorary Pallbearers.
