Elaine Compton Moore

Elaine Compton Moore, 68, passed away in Arlington, Texas, on Friday, December 18, 2009.

Elaine was born in Clarksville, Texas, on May 28, 1941, to Marvin J. Compton and Opal Harris Compton. She was a cosmetologist. On November 17, 1956, she married Bobby Wayne Moore in Centerville, Texas.

Survivors include her sons: Jeffrey D. Moore of St. Augustine, Florida, and Bobby L. Moore of Grand Prairie, Texas; a daughter, Charlotte McLarry of Campbell, Texas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby Moore; her brothers: Russell Compton and James Swift; and her sister, Vergie Vergin.

Visitation will be held at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 21, 2009.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at the First Baptist Church of Campbell with Bro. Cary Kinnaird officiating.. Interment will follow in Brigham Cemetery, Campbell, Texas.
