Emily "Geraldine" Branom

Emily "Geraldine" Branom, 101, of Commerce passed away at her home on Wednesday, September 17, 2014.

"Gerry" was born in Cumby on December 7, 1912, to Mary Esther Garoutte and James Merit Branom.She was a retired Librarian, she spoke fluent English, French and German.

Survivors include her sister, Frieda Marian Branom of Commerce, Texas, her brother Merit "Rex" Branom of Phoenix, Arizona, her three nephews; Joseph Merit Branom Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona, Wm. Arthur McCray of North Haverhill, New Hampshire, and John Edward McCray of Charlottesville, Virginia and her niece Carole Frances Branom of Mercer Island, Washington.

A Graveside Memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, October 11, 2014, at 10:00 A.M. at Rosemound Cemetery, in Commerce, Texas.
