Evelyn Laura McDonald

Ms. Evelyn Laura McDonald, 93, of Cumby passed away on Monday, October 8, 2018, at Briarcliff in Greenville, Texas.

Evelyn was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, on August 29, 1925, to Nora Eller Johnston and General Wayne Thomas. She was an Optics Division Inspector for Hudson Corporation. Evelyn was married to Virgil W. McDonald, who preceded her in death .She enjoyed the making and firing of ceramics.

Survivors include her daughter Karen Cash of Cumby and her son Terry Lenn McDonald of Midlothian, other survivors include: grandsons; Robert Lee Cash, Terry Daniel McDonald, and Shanon Lee McDonald, great grand daughters: Brittany Lynn Cash and Sydney Solis and great grandson, Hunter Coe Cash and her great-great grandson Grayson Colt Cash. Evelyn also leaves to treasure her memories her youngest sister Joann Lingo of Colorado.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Nora and General Thomas, her husband, Virgil, her son-in-law Robert L. Cash Sr. and her grandson Ronnie W. Cash.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. at Waxahachie City Cemetery, 300 S. Hawkins St. Waxahachie, Texas, 75165.
