Evonne Melissa Ray

Evonne Melissa Ray of Ladonia passed away Tuesday, December 23, in a Dallas hospital. She was 28 years old. She was a machine operator at Covidien in Commerce.

Evonne was born April 14, 1980, in East Point, Georgia. She loved softball, music, and spending time with her family and friends - especially her nieces.

She is survived by her father, James Allen Ray; her mother, Kathlynn Sue Chupp; her grandmother, Barbara Copeland of Klondike; stepfather Kenneth Chupp of Klondike; her sisters Suezann Ray and Shannon Taylor both of Commerce; her nieces, Sarah Taylor, Abby Taylor, Megan Taylor, and Emily Taylor all of Commerce; and several aunts.

Pallbearers will be James Ray, David Taylor, Dieter "Hans" Ward, Nathan Sanders, Jeremy Pegg, and Micheal Dykes.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 29, 2008, at 11:00 AM at Healing Waters Assembly of God Church with Jason Frazier officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery, Klondike, Texas.
