Forrest Ashley Jones

Forrest Ashley Jones, 46, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014, at home in Commerce with his family by his side.

Forrest was born in Dallas, Texas, on December 20, 1967, to Buddy Ray Jones and Sarah Elizabeth Sheely Jones.

Forrest was a member of First Baptist Church of Commerce. He definitely had a green thumb as he could grow almost anything; and, as a result, he built and owned Forrest Creek Nursery in Sulphur Springs. He had a passion for taking- in stray animals as he would be sure that they were all fed and cared for; and, he watched over his loved ones like a guardian angel, especially his sister.

Survivors include his parents, Buddy and Sarah Jones of Commerce; his sister, Sheely Elizabeth House of Rockwall; his niece, Sheely Alexis Taylor; and, his nephews: Sean Keane Taylor and Christian Tyler House.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home in Commerce.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 20, 2014, at 4:00 P.M at the First Baptist Church of Commerce with Dr. Jeff Johnson officiating.

Pallbearers will be Brad Phelps, Joel Phelps, Sean Taylor, Roy Henley, Jeff Jones and Daniel Jones.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Ron Lowrie.

Interment will follow at Rosemound Cemetery.
