Frances Folmar

Jean Giles Folmar of Winnsboro passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2009, at her residence. She was formerly of Commerce and was an administrative assistant for 9 years at the United Country Cain Agency.

Jean was born August 26, 1948, in Commerce to Robert Jackson and Beatrice Beard Jackson.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Folmar of Winnsboro; her son, Derrell Harrison and spouse of Cumby; three step-sons: Tracy Rimpel of McKinney, Gaylor Folmar of Winnsboro, and Stuart Folmar of Bremerton, WA; three daughters: Lana Stone and spouse of Winnsboro, Hazel Keim and spouse of Cumby, and Tasha Morgan of Winnsboro; two sisters: Pearl Wilson of Commerce and Minnie Young of Sulphur Springs; her mother-in-law, Virginia Folmar of Winnsboro; her father-in-law, Junior Folmar of Winnsboro; 11 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, and 1 sister.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 19, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home chapel. Bro. Jeff Bishop and Bro. Tammy Giles will officiate.

Interment will follow in Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2009, at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Yancey Hinman, James Bentle, Arthur Teel, Harold Kizer, Roger Folmar, Stanley McQueen,and Ken Ragsdale. Honorary pallbearers will be Stephen Wilson, Curtis Wilson, Stuart Folmar, Justin Kizer, Mikie Keim, and John Shannon.
