Frank James Rohner II, of Commerce, passed away at Hunt Regional Healthcare Facility in Commerce on Tuesday morning January 23, 2024. Frank was born the son of Frank Tristan Rohner and Dorothy Lucille Miller Rohner on December 16, 1945 in San Diego, California. He served in the United States Air Force during the Viet Nam Era and earned the rank of Sergeant. He earned a Master's Degree in Zoology and Botany from East Texas State University. Frank married Danna Nafzger on October 24,1980 and they made their home in Commerce, Texas where they were members of the Trinity Luther Church. Frank enjoyed gardening and cooking (especially outdoors). He was known for his Dutch Oven Fudge and his bathtub smoked turkeys.  Frank earned his Master Certified Nursey man certification.

Those that remain to cherish his memory include his wife, Danna of Commerce, children: Wayne Woolsey and wife Stacy of Campbell and Carla House and husband Robert of Hereford, TX., his grandchildren Christopher Woolsey and wife Jay of Krum, Nicholas Woolsey of Greenville, Darien Woolsey and wife Elyce of Rockwall, Jacob Smith and wife Jenna of Phillips, Nebraska, and Nicole House of Hereford. Other survivors include great-grandchildren: Jeremy Woolsey of Rockwall, Carrie and Katie Woolsey of Krum, Tx. and Paxton, Ainsley, Karis, Corbin, Emerson, and Campbell Owen of Krum, Tx; sister Mary Weaver of Stow, MS and brother Stephen Rohner of McKinney.

The family will be planning a memorial service at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Commerce at a later date.
