Freddie Joe Ketner

Freddie Joe Ketner, 69, of Commerce passed away Sunday morning, October 10, 2021 at Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville. Joe was born in Commerce, Texas on March 27, 1952, the son of Edward Eugene "PeeWee" Ketner and Faye Maxine Fielden Ketner. He was a retired machinist having worked for Sherwood Industries and Covidian for 39 years. He married Peggy Sands on September 17, 1969. Joe loved to barbecue, ride ATVs, and do anything outdoors.

He is survived by his wife Peggy, daughter, Charlotte Harrod of Commerce, sons: Frankie Hines of Monahans, Tx. and David Ketner of Lone Oak, Tx. and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Other survivors include two brothers: Mike Ketner and Darrell Ketner, both of Commerce, and two sisters: Linda Phillips of Florida and Alicia Currin of Campbell. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Gene Roy Ketner and two granddaughters: Faith Ketner and Jennifer Bounds.

Visitation will be held for Joe on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Jones-Walker Funeral Chapel, 1209 Live Oak, in Commerce. A private interment service will take place at a later time with Bro. Terry Holley officiating.
