Gary Shafer

Gary Shafer, 50, of Dallas passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014.

Gary was born in Mesquite, Texas, on August 12, 1963, to Edward R. Shafer (Sonny) and Frances E. Shafer. He was married to Kristi Bradley Shafer for a wonderful, blessed 22 years. Gary really enjoyed fishing and his scooter ( Honda Reflex).

Those left to treasure his memories include his wife, Kristi; his daughter, Gabrielle Cruz; his grandchildren: Emma Nicole Cruz and Joshua Garces; his brother, Ronald Shafer and his wife Kem of Forney; his two sisters: Lurlene Madsen of New London CT. and Sharon Williams of Gun Barrel, TX.; his sister-in-law, Linda Shafer of Dallas; and, his mother, Frances.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Shafer and his brother, David Shafer.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, April 28, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Commerce with Bro. Keith Williams officiating.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until service time.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Shafer, Wayne Fogus, Robert Shafer, Michael Shafer, Chris Reynolds and Steven Reynolds.
