Gerry C. Huffman

Gerry C. Huffman, 69, of Commerce, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Medical Center of Plano.

Gerry was born in Ft.Worth, TX, on January 13, 1943, to George C. Huffman and Florence Marie Hicks. He was a retired forklift operator with the Kroger Company.

He married Jeanene Longley, May 20, 1962.

Survivors include his wife; his son and daughter-in-law Gerry Dewayne Huffman and wife Lisa of Brownsboro; his daughter, Gabrielle Old and husband Casey of Commerce; his two brothers: Roger Huffman of Dallas and David Huffman and wife Luann of Commerce; his sister; Sharon Smith and husband Charlie of Commerce; his two grandchildren: Ciji Huffman McElyea and husband Brian and Callie Huffman; his two great-grandchildren: Briley McElyea and Bentley McElyea, all of Brownsboro; and many nieces, nephews and adopted children.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 9, 2012, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce with Dennis Scott officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jay Hicks, Jeff Hicks, Roger Huffman, Charlie Smith, Michael Benson and David Huffman.

Honorary pallbearers will be Les Arquette, Gene Hicks and Jimmy Hicks.
