Grady Mae Savage, 87, of Commerce entered into her heavenly home in the early morning hours of Monday October 17, 2022 at Methodist Hospital in Dallas.
Grady was born on October 7, 1935 in Talco, TX to the late Willie Savage and Alberta Brown. She attended school in Wolfe City, TX and later moved to Commerce, TX. She worked at Texas A&M for 35 years. Grady was a faithful member and church mother at House of Prayer in Greenville, TX until her health failed.
Those left to cherish her memories are daughter Paula Savage of Dallas, TX; 2 sons Thomas W. Savage (Linda) of Princeton, TX and Pastor David J. Savage (Linda) of Commerce, TX; a brother Willie Savage (Dannis) of Arkansas. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Andrew Savage, 3 sisters: Ruth Woods, Corine Hines and Dimple Mae Hines.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday October 22, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Pilgrim Tabernacle Church in Greenville with Minister J. Hines officiating and Pastor D.J. Savage eulogist. Serving as pallbearers will be Tyrone Hines, Chris Harmon, Quintis Weatherall, Gregg Brown, Thomas Savage Jr. and Nathaniel Savage. Honorary pallbearers will be Bro. Mike Jones, Bro. Daydren Jones, Bro. Wilton Jones Jr., Bro. Ryan Wright, Bro. Benny Wyatt and Minister Porter.
Interment will follow at Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce.
