Military graveside services for Harold H. Horn, age 84, of Commerce will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Rosemound Cemetery with Rev. Roy Lee Dittmar officiating. Military honors will be presented by the Hopkins County Military Coalition. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home Saturday, December 17, 2011, prior to service time. Daniel Womack, Dustin Womack, Clinton Cline, Clay Brown, and Bobby Anderson will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Kennedy, Gene Scott, Dickie Barron, and Dick Walker. Mr. Horn passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Hunt Memorial Hospital in Greenville. Mr. Horn was born in Hunt County on February 1, 1927. Mr. Horn was a postal carrier for 32 years and 45 days. He served in the United States Army and was a member of the Odd Fellows for 40 years. He was a member of the Congregational Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Blanch Aline Daniels Horn, step-son, Billy Daniels and wife Frances of Sulphur Springs, step-grandchildren, Yvonna Womack and husband Steve of Sulphur Springs, Angie Brown and husband James of Sulphur Springs, Amy Townsend and husband Rickey of Cumby, 7 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, close friend that he referred to as his adopted daughter, Peggy Anderson and husband Robert and their son, Bobby Anderson of Cumby. He was preceded by his first wife Mildred Smith Horn in 1999 and second wife Annie Ruth White Horn in 2003. Memorials may be made to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children at www.tsrhc.org.
