Hildred Shaw

Hildred Shaw, 91, of Honey Grove passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010, in Honey Grove, TX.

She was born February 4, 1919 in Petty, TX to Charlie Jones and Tommie Whitney Jones. Mrs. Shaw married Argusta Shaw October 30, 1937 in Fannin County. Mrs. Shaw worked many years for Pasley Cleaners as a press operator. She was a memeber of the 16th Street Baptist Church in Honey Grove.

She is survived by her daughter Pamela Brown of Honey Grove; sons Jewel Shaw of Honey Grove, Ray C. Gaines and wife Lois of Paris, TX. She is also survived by a devoted grand daughter Candace Brown, 12 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren.

She was preceeded in death by her parents; husband; sisters: Dorothy Nell Cross, Justine Scruggs, Helen Jones; and brother John H. Jones.

Services will be held Saturday March 20, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Christian Chapel C.M.E. church in Honey Grove, TX. Rev. Esther F. Lawson will officiate and Rev. Cedric Barksdale will be the eulogist. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Honey Grove.
