Howard Lee Neel

Howard Lee Neel, 86, of Wolfe City passed away at his residence on Wednesday evening September 11, 2024, surrounded by his family.  He was born in Biardstown (Lamar County), TX on August 17, 1938, to Price Allen Neel and Vera Clements.  Howard married Frances Bell in 1957.  He enlisted and served in the United States Air Force.  He was a lifelong truck driver that never had an accident and was in the million-mile club.

Left to cherish his memories is his wife Frances, daughters: Michele Linex (Martin) and Mindy Neel (Chad Mashburn); son Howard Wade Neel (Heather); grandchildren: Melissa Shull, Crystal Ricoy, Jennifer Bowen, Blake Neel, Kelli Peacock, Daniel Neel, Rachel Neel, Jamie Neel, Michael Neel Jr., and Savannah Neel. 9 great grandchildren and his sister Florence Barnes also survive him.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Rebecca Ann, sons: Dennis Neel, Curtis Lee Neel and Michael Todd Neel, grandson Justin Martin Linex and numerous brothers.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M.  A funeral service will follow at 12:00 P.M. at Jones-Walker & Son Chapel.
