Jack David Anderson, 87, of Fruitvale passed away on Wednesday evening September 4,2024 at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler. He was born to Gladys Weimer on April 9, 1937 in Paris. Jack entered into the United States Marine Corps and after discharge served in the Army National Guard. He worked for Wester Union using his skills from the Marine Corps as Signal Operator. Jack married Mary Emma Bell who preceded him in death on June 18, 2016. Jack loved Elvis Presley and was a good Elvis impersonator. He was able to meet Elvis one time while they were in Dallas.
Jack is survived by his four sons: David Anderson (Glenda), Seth Anderson, James Anderson (Martha) and Phillip Anderson; grandchildren: David, Scott, Krista, Heather, Luke, Albert, Amy, Eric, Josh, Jake and Nick. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and his sister Barbara Patrick.
He was preceded in death by his mother Gladys Weimer, wife Mary Emma Anderson and a cousin Owen Luster.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 9, 2024 at 12:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Fruitvale with Rev. Gary Vaughn officiating. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service.
Interment will be held at the Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 1:30 P.M.
