James "Jimmy" Hopewell, 65, of Dallas passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2012.
He was a U. S. Navy WWII veteran.
Jimmy was born October 1, 1946, in Dallas to Doris "Julian" Snider and Robert Edwin Hopewell.
He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his daughter, Sarah Hopewell Barr of Dallas; his mother; his brother, Robert E. Hopewell Jr. of Oregon; and, his grandchildren Benjamin Daniel Barr and Vivie Barr both of Dallas
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home. The procession will leave the funeral home for graveside services with military honors at Sonora Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Rev. David Fortenbury will officiate.
