James Therel Ivey, 90, of Sulphur Springs passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, in Sulphur Springs..
He was born on July 18, 1922, to Flora and Sam Ivey in Ladonia. James was a plumber and a Veteran having served in the United States Army in WW II.
Survivors include his son, James A. Ivey and wife Billie of Commerce; his daughters: Darlene Rudd and husband Robert of Campbell and Glenda Harness and husband Danny of Sulphur Springs; his brothers: Ed Ivey of Dallas and Kenneth Ivey of Sulphur Springs; his sister, Ethel McKay of Wolfe City; three grandsons; three granddaughters; three great-grandsons; and, six great granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Whisenant; two brothers; two sisters; grandsons: Wayne Harness and Bobby Rudd; great grandson, Austin Harness; and, his great great-granddaughter, Baylee Rudd.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, March 14, 2013.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home chapel. Burial with full military honors will follow at Ladonia Cemetery, Ladonia, Texas.
Pallbearers will be his nephews.
