James Alvin Ivey

James Alvin Ivey, 69, of Commerce passed away at his residence on Friday morning December 17, 2021. James was born in Commerce, Texas, September 24, 1952, the son of J.T. Ivey and Gladys Johnson Ivey. He married Billie Robinson on January 15, 1975 in Commerce. James was a graduate of Commerce High School and then served in the United States Marine Corp and worked as a factory worker following this.

He is survived by a daughter, Stacey Mobley and husband Lafe of Haltom City, Tx., two granddaughters: Kendra Polk and husband Cody of Haltom City and Taylor Pilgrim of Haltom City. Other survivors include 3 great granddaughters and 1 great great granddaughter. James was preceded in death by his parents: J.T. and Gladys Ivey.
