Janette Marie Moreland, known as âJanâ to family and friends was an humorous storyteller, with a strong mind and loving soul that touched many hearts over the past 73 years of her life on earth. She spent many of her younger years at her husbandâs side remodeling homes around Hopkins County, Texas. She was a natural interior decorator, a talented fixer-upper long before it became so popular.
She had a bright green thumb and loved her gardening and could grow anything, as well as tell you the name of every plant and tree.
Her greatest love was given to her family members, her children, her sisters, her grandchildren and great grandchildren and others who found a special place in her heart over the years.
She leaves her loved ones with wonderful memories and stories that will be passed down for generations to come.
She will be greatly missed by all of us who benefited from her presence in our lives and who sought her love, advice and experience over the years. Her life will be celebrated and her absence will be mourned.
She leaves behind her beloved children; daughter and son-in-law, Janna Kay and David Redington of Sulphur Springs, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Tony Ladane and Valerie Moreland of Wills Point, TX; and daughter-in- law Tracy Roberts Moreland of Josephine, Texas.
Grandchildren; Amber Kay and Dustin Adams, Brody and Sarah Potts, of Sulphur Springs, Texas and Tanner and Tayler Moreland of Josephine, Texas.
Great-Grandchildren; Mallari Brooke Moody, Mason Dwain Potts, Maddox Ray Potts, Anderson Garrett Adams, Haygen Brody Potts, and Marlee Kay Williams, all of Sulphur Springs, Texas; Hallei Danielle Moreland and Haylen Dalane Moreland of Josephine, Texas.
Sisters: Carolyn R Sands of Wills Point, Texas; Diana K Jackson and J. Annette Pierce of Commerce, Texas and a very special great niece, Jessica K Lappin of College Station, TX.
She left her family peacefully to join her husband; Larry Dwain Moreland, son; Marvin Dwain Moreland and beloved grandson; Anthony Ladane Moreland, brother; Roy James Hodge, and a sister; Peggy Mae Pope, and parents; âChalsâ Hodge and âBeanieâ Reagan in Heaven, as well as other family and loved ones.
