Jerry Mack Crutchfield, 69, of Cooper, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2013, in Cooper.
Jerry was born on July 16, 1944, in Paris, Texas, to Albert Allen Crutchfield and Leona C. Rushing Crutchfield. In September 1978, Jerry married Norma Matthews in Duncan, Oklahoma. Jerry was a Vietnam veteran proudly serving in the United States Marine Corps; he cherished his Military Medals .He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Burleson; a member of Three Rusty Nails Church in Cooper; and, he was a big sports fan. He also enjoyed rebuilding cars, trucks and tractors; he also enjoyed fishing; and, he loved to cook.
Survivors include his wife; his three sons: Steven Mac Crutchfield of Menard, Indiana, Raymond Allen Crutchfield of Terre Haute, Indiana, and, Wesley Allen Pope of Huntsville Alabama; his four daughters: Julie Annette Crutchfield Hanson of Warsaw, Indiana, Sharon Lee Connett of Alvarado, Kimberly Ann Pope of Cooper, and Lori Michelle Crutchfield of South Bend Indiana; seventeen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; his three brothers: Ervin Crutchfield of Cooper, Cecil Crutchfield of Paris, and Bobby D. Crutchfield of Linden; and, his three sisters: Sharon Austin of Watagua, Kathy Evans of Brookston, and Torchie Beatty of Douglasville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: Edgar Dee Crutchfield, Joe Miller Crutchfield and Johnny Mack Crutchfield; and, his four sisters: Dora Lee Beatty, Florence Lavern Jones, Edna Earl Webb and Judy Katherine Hornback.
Graveside services with full Military Honors will be conducted on Monday, September 30, 2013, at 11:30 A.M. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2013, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home in Commerce.
