Jessie Clark

Jessie O'Nell Clark, 86, of Honey Grove passed away on Sunday afternoon February 12, 2023 at Honey Grove Nursing Center surrounded by her family.  She was born on August 2, 1936 in Dial, TX to Buck Leftrick and Lottie Royal Leftrick.  She married Melvin Clark on December 21, 1953 in Hugo, OK and to this union was born six children.  Jessie worked at Bonham Manufacturing for 36 years until the closing of the plant.  She was member of St. James Baptist Church her entire life and sung in the choir for over 50 years.

Jessie is survived by her daughters: Mary Clark of Honey Grove, Carolyn "Sue" Patt and husband Curlee of Paris, TX and Willie "Sandi" Fields and husband Dwight Dangerfield of Paris, TX; sons: Bobby Clark and wife Tommie of Bonham, TX and Robert Clark of Honey Grove; 15 grand children, 23 great grand children and 8 great great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sisters: Thelma Carreather and Altice Huey both of Bonham, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son MJ Clark, 2 sisters and 3 brothers and 2 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at St. James Baptist Church in Honey Grove.  Funeral service will be on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at St. James Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Franklin Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Honey Grove.

Serving as pallbeares will be Jeffery Clark, Joshua Fields, Justin Fields, Jordan Fields, Henry Hill and Jeremy Easter Clark.  Honorary pallbearers are Jonathan Clark, Kevin Finney, Quentin Ricks, Xavier Ricks, Jalen Easter and Dwight Dangerfield.
