Jimmy Wayne Preston

Jimmy Wayne Preston, 70, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at his residence in Pecan Gap.

Jimmy was born June 28, 1941, to Virginia Owens and Emmitt Preston in Sylacanga, AL. He married Shirley Bright in Tennessee on March 2, 1961. He was a painter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Billy Preston; his sister, Dimple Gambel; and, his great-grandson, Carter Lane.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Preston of Commerce; his son, Rodney Preston of Honey Grove; his daughters: Cynthia Preston of Wolfe City, Crystal Preston of Cooper, Sherri Preston of Battle Creek, MI, and Virginia Preston-Elliott of Commerce; his brother, Donald Preston of TN; his sister, Sue Robertson of TN; his grandchildren: Kristina Ullman of Commerce, Micheal Preston of Springdale, AR, Rachel Vaughn of cooper, Mathew Pittman of Cooper, Shannon Lane of MI, Alex Elliott, Jimmy Lane, and Mark Holden; his great-grandchildren: Nathan, Nicholas, Noah, Kianna Ullman; Sara Vaughn; Whyatt, DeKota, Cheyenne Preston, Micheal, Kayla, Caleb Richey; and, Cole, Emma, Tristan, and Tamia Lane.
