Joan Marie Rowe

Joan Marie Rowe, 84, of Carrollton, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2013, in Plano.

She was born in Dallas on February 9, 1929, to George Osbourne Coker Sr. and Claudine Carley Coker.

Joan graduated from Sunset High School. While attending Southern Methodist University, she majored in speech and drama; and, she attended TSCW (now Texas Woman's University). She worked as a PBX operator and finished her working career as an executive secretary.

Survivors include her children: Barbara Pfeifer of Belton, Barry Young of Red Oak, Holly Morris and her husband Mark of Carrollton and Bryan Young of Carrollton; her grandchildren: Joshua Key and his wife Alli of Lewisville, Zachary Pfeifer and his wife Chelsea of Missouri and Hannah Pfeifer of Denton; her great-grandchild, Miles Key of Lewisville; her brother, George Osbourne Coker Jr. of Grandbury; and her nieces: Karen Morton of Alvarado and Wendy Coker of Grandbury.

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, October 31, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. at Laurel Land Memorial Park, Dallas.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at Rhoton Funeral Home, 1511 Interstate 35E, Carrollton.
