Jorge Alvarez

Funeral Mass for Jorge Alvarez age, 42, of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, April 18, 2021 at the St. James Catholic Church in Sulphur Springs, TX with Rev. Victor Hernandez officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am Sunday, April 18, 2021 till 3:00 PM prior to the services at Jones-Walker and Son Funeral Home.

Jorge passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021 in Sulphur Springs. He was born on October 14, 1978 in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico the son of Armando Alvarez Avina and Eulogia Flores Sotelo. He married Michelle Lee Cantu on February 27, 2009 in Rockwall, Texas and she survives. He worked at Christina’s Fine Mexican Restaurant and attended Miller Grove High School.

He is survived by his wife Michelle Alvarez of Sulphur Springs; his parents Armando and Eulogia Alvarez of Sulphur Springs; sons, Christian Xavier Dixon of Sacramento, CA, Lawrence Michael, Armani Holub; daughters Aaliyah Jaylin Holub, Lauren Alexa Cantu, all from Dallas, Texas; also, one grandchild Liam Everett Aleman of Dallas, Texas. One brother Tony Alvarez of León, Guanajuato, México.

He was preceded in death by a brother Adrian Alvarez.
