In Loving Memory of Kenneth Juan Williams

February 13, 1953 - April 22, 2024

"With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." - Matthew 19:26

Kenneth Juan Williams, a beacon of light and love, embarked on his earthly journey on February 13, 1953, blessed by the union of Albert Curtis "A.C." and Mylie Ann Williams in Commerce, Texas. He was the cherished fifth child of this loving union, surrounded by the warmth of family and the promise of a purposeful life. From the tender embrace of Commerce, Kenneth Juan's path was paved with determination and grace. He navigated the corridors of academia and graduated from East Texas State University with both bachelor's and master's degrees of science which path would enable him to fulfill his dreams and intellectual pursuits.

It was during his tenure at East Texas State University that Kenneth Juan found not only academic success but also brotherhood within the esteemed ranks of Omega Psi Phi, Inc. His journey was further enriched by the serendipitous encounter with Gabriella, to whom Kenneth Juan was married to for 17 years. Their love would blossom into a union blessed with two beautiful children, Lance and Kendell Williams.

The ebb and flow of life carried Kenneth Juan to Dallas, where he cultivated a life of purpose and passion. Amidst the bustle of city life, he found solace and joy in the tranquil expanse of his ranch in Palestine, where he nurtured a love for breeding and racing horses, including the cherished Dove Shot and Idi Amin. His dedication extended beyond the stables, as he served the community as a probation officer for Dallas County. Later he would serve as a substance abuse counselor and psychologist supervisor touching countless lives with compassion and wisdom.

In the tapestry of his life, Kenneth Juan’s heart overflowed with love for his children, Lance and Kendell. Whether coaching them on the sports field or sharing quiet moments by the water's edge while fishing, he cherished his time with them and the enduring legacy of a father's love.

As the chapters of his life unfolded, Kenneth Juan returned to his roots in Commerce, where he continued to sow seeds of inspiration as a teacher in Commerce ISD and basketball coach with Commerce Parks and Recreation. It was here, amidst familiar faces and cherished memories, that he found solace and fulfillment, embracing each day with a spirit of generosity and gratitude.

In the twilight of his journey, Kenneth Juan was blessed with the unwavering care and companionship of Ericka Green, his devoted home health care nurse. Their bond would grow in a love and mutual respect as Ericka was like a daughter to Kenneth Juan. For eighteen years, she cared for him and was a beacon of light and comfort for him.

On April 22, 2024, as the angels descended to usher him into eternal rest, Kenneth Juan's spirit soared beyond the confines of earthly pain and sorrow, embracing the promise of everlasting peace in the embrace of his Heavenly Father.

Kenneth Juan's earthly departure leaves behind a tapestry of love and memories, woven with threads of faith, hope, and enduring love. He is reunited in eternity with his beloved parents, Albert Curtis "A.C." and Mylie Ann Williams, and his dear sister, Rita Blackwell.

Though he may have bid farewell to this world, Kenneth Juan's legacy of love and kindness will endure through those who survive him, his brother, Albert Curtis Williams, Jr. (Doony); Sisters: Callie Sue Williams-Hearne and Cynthia Christle; Son: Lance Williams; Daughter: Kendell Williams-Lacy; Grandchildren:—Gabriel Williams, Kamden Williams, Chance Williams, Karter Lacy, Jace Lacy; a host of nieces and nephews and in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
