Kerwin Warner Black, 83, of Campbell, Texas peacefully passed away in his sleep at his residence on Tuesday morning, October 3, 2023. He was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma, the son of Waldo Briggs Black and Josie Crismon Black.  Kerwin married Annette Melvina Forkey on June 2, 1984 in Campbell, TX and she preceded him in death in April 27, 2022.

Kerwin is survived by his daughters: Leigh-Ann Fashina of Mesquite and Marka Forkey of Campbell; son Bryan Black of Greenville; grandchildren: April Drusch of Georgia, Isaac Spates of Mesquite, Aleema Fashina of Mesquite, Lauren Artrip of Campbell and Amelia Fashina of Mesquite; great grandchildren: Cameron Lane of Louisiana and Caleb Drusch of Georgia.  He is also survived by his sister Kathy Allen of Tuscaloosa, AL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Annette and his daughter Shannon Black.

A memorial service for Mr. Black will be held in the Jones-Walker Funeral Chapel located at 1209 Live Oak, in Commerce, Tx. at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 8, 2023.
