Lawrence Eugene Sullivan

Lawrence Eugene Sullivan, 72 of Commerce passed away on June 5, 2010 in Dallas.

Lawrence, known as Gene, was born on November 15, 1937 in Medford, Mass and was the only child of Lawrence Timothy and Virginia Antoinette Desmond Sullivan.

Gene married his bride, Helen Kennamer, on October 1, 1960 in Richmond, VA and achieved his degree in Civil Engineering. He enlisted in the Army in February of 1960 and by March 1963 reached the rank of First Lieutenant. Since his retirement from FDIC, Gene has enjoyed spending his time playing golf and just being outdoors tending to his property, horses, and their pet cow, Norman.

He is survived by his loving wife; a son Ken Sullivan and his wife, Jennifer; two daughters: Karen Frazier and Kris Stahle and her husband, Steve; his grandchildren: Amanda Frazier, Ashley Stahle, Dylan Stahle, Jake Sullivan, and Hayes Sullivan; and a great-grandchild Caden Frazier.

Gene is preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 1:00 P.M.
