Lennie "Lynn" Mae Bridges

Lennie Mae "Lynn" Bridges, 89, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2012, in Commerce.

Lynn was born in the heart of Texas on July 21, 1922, in Mullin, Mills County, Texas, to Susie Isabel Gullick and George Everal Spencer.

On January 4, 1947, she married Weldon Franklin Bridges in Morton, TX. A life-long Texan, Lynn had lived in Commerce since January 2007.

Lynn was a former Licensed Vocational Nurse.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: Everal Spencer, John Thomas Spencer and Alvie Spencer; and, her sisters: Donie Magness, Ella Ellis, Ida Reed, Edith Stoneman, Mary Collins, Flo McKinney and Neta O'Donald.

Survivors include her sons: Joe Bridges of Denton, David Bridges of Rockwall and Weldon Eugene Bridges of Battleground, WA; her daughter, Sharon Lynn Bridges Al Hayek of Commerce; her brothers: Baisel Spencer of Oregon and Charles W. Spencer of Dallas; 10 grandchildren: Kandi Lauzara, Johanna Marie "Hanna": Simpson, John Larkin Hickman, Jock Buchanan "Buck" Hickman, Intisar "Sar" Al Hayek, Rhema Shereen Al Hayek, Rebecca Donia Al Hayek, Elizabeth Hemphill, Alexandra Grace Bridges and Jedidah Danielle Bridges; 6 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be conducted on Friday, June 29, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Outreach of Greenville, 1501 Division Street, Greenville with Hon. Wayne Wolfe officiating.

Private interment services will follow.
