Linda Darnell Taylor, age 69, passed away peacefully on Friday May 31, 2024, at Medical City Plano Hospital in Plano, Texas. She was born to Maurice Elkins and Era Kinchen. She married Joe Albert Taylor in 1979 and had 5 children, Amber Monroe (Deceased), Quincy Kinchen, Derrick Taylor, Cameron Taylor, and Cristal Taylor. She worked as Nurse’s aide providing exceptional care to all her patients. There she often ministered to the resident’s soul and witnessed to colleagues with hopes that they may know the Lord. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, dancing, cooking, and spending time with family. She lived a life of simplicity, finding the joy in the little things and cherishing the moments spent with loved ones. Whether she was telling captivating stories about life or offering honest advice, she had a way of being heard and making others feel valued. She loved reading the bible and studied his Word as daily sustenance.
Linda is survived by her children: Quincy Kinchen of Commerce, Derrick Taylor (Stephanie) of Dallas, Cristal Taylor of Commerce and Cameron Taylor of Garland; grandchildren: Markell Bailey, Kezia Kinchen, Myangel Bailey, Mierra Bailey, Mykasia Taylor, Cleveland Taylor, Danaka Kinchen, Saniya Kinchen, Calyn Taylor, Hannah Ethridge, Quincy Kinchen, Essence Kinchen, Tristan Taylor, Cairo Taylor, Autumn Taylor and Araya Kinchen; great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is also survived by her brother Germaine Staten of Greenville.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Amber Monroe and sisters: Sherry Ashford and Cathy Staten.
Though Linda may no longer be with us in the physical sense, the impact she made on our lives will forever remain. May she rest in eternal peace.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the Full Gospel Holy Temple in Commerce with Elder Jessie Kinchen officiating.
Pallbearers will be Quincy Kinchen, Cameron Taylor, Jerry Ashford Jr, Derrick Taylor, Reginald Kinchen and Willie Bailey.
