Lois Marie Massey Hill

Lois Marie Massey Hill, 88, of Commerce passed away Saturday night January 1, 2022 surrounded by her family at Lexington Medical Lodge in Farmersville. She was born the daughter of Paul Lohr Massey and Leo Gaynell "Nellie" Leamer Massey on October 11, 1933 in Ore City, Texas. Lois retired from Texas A&M Commerce where she worked as a clerk/typist for many years. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Commerce. Lois loved plants, music, crocheting, and playing the piano.

Those that survive Lois are her children: Renee Gracy and husband Jim of Blue Ridge, Tx., Brenda Crane and husband Duane, of Middleton, Tennessee, and Glenn Hill and wife Rebecca of Afton, Michigan; grandchildren: Bobby Sims and wife Angela, Lohri Sims, Chad Crane and wife Stephanie, Erika Sullivan and husband Aaron, Amber Duncan, Chris Hill, Jared Hill and wife Janie, and two step-grandsons: Bobby Fenstermaker and wife Myranda and Jimmy Fenstermaker and wife Megan. Twenty seven great grandchildren are also among the survivors, as well as a brother, Carl Massey and his wife Barbara of Greenville, Tx., a brother in law, David Coffman of Dodd City, Tx., a sister in law Alice Massey of Garland, Tx. one niece, three nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Nellie Massey, a brother Leo Massey, a sister Sue Coffman, a grandson Aaron Crane and a great grandson Jedidiah Hill and one niece.

Viewing will be held on Friday January 7, 2022 from 9:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. at the Jones-Walker funeral home in Commerce.

Services for Lois Hill are planned for January 10, 2022 at the Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Commerce, Tx. Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. and funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Brother RJ Nanny and Duane Crane will officiate.

Interment will be at Rosemound Cemetery of Commerce following the funeral service. Pallbearers will be Bobby Sims, Chad Crane, Jared Hill, Larry Coffman, Kevin Coffman, and Steven Coffman.

Masks are asked to be worn for services.
